WEEK 7/8 - planned original images

I will do a series of portraits of the main actors. I will maintain the videos aesthetic by editing and overlaying imagery on to the photos. Alternatively, this could be done when the photos are being taken with a projector, however this will only be possible if I have access to one. An alternative possibility of the actors’ set of photos would be to recreate famous protest photos from their era – this would enhance the intertextuality aspect of the video and website.

As well as the actors’ photos, I will compose a photo shoot for the artist consisting of photos taken during filming and portraits similar to the actors’ set – this will help to keep a consistent aesthetic between the website and the video.

I could also plan certain photos of the flowers that will be featured in the video. These could either be directly taken from the footage of the flowers or be taken after/during filming. This will help to maintain the video’s aesthetics on the webpage.

The photos will be shot at a high quality and keep the video’s aesthetic as they will be used on the website in a large format. I will also add a grain texture to the photos to add a sense of age and nostalgia, however this may detract from the quality, but I will decide which direction I will go in when editing in post-production.
